Passionate Travel Planning with a Personal Touch
Hi, I’m Jo – travel lover, holiday matchmaker and the person behind Jo Macey Holidays.
Travel has always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love helping other people experience more of the world too. Whether it’s a relaxing escape, an incredible cruise, a bucket-list adventure or a complicated multi-centre itinerary, I’ll take the time to understand what your perfect holiday looks like.
As an independent travel advisor, I have access to over 300 trusted travel partners – but for me, it’s never simply about finding a holiday. It’s about finding the right holiday for you, taking care of the details and being there from those first exciting ideas right through to your return home.
I’ve completed a Level 5 Diploma in Travel & Tourism and regularly undertake supplier and destination training. I’m also proud to be a part of the Experience It Now Travel Team, an accredited body member of Hays Travel Ltd (ATOL 5534) -giving you the reassurance of booking with a trusted, established travel network alongside the personal service of having me looking after you.
Think personal service, plenty of research, honest advice… and just a little Travel Fairy Godmother magic.
Whether you’re ready to start planning or simply have an idea bubbling away, let’s chat. There’s never any pressure or obligation - just friendly, honest advice, plenty of inspiration and perhaps the beginning of your next unforgettable adventure. ✨
Your Travel, Your Way
There’s no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all” holiday - and that’s exactly how I like it.
You might be dreaming of an incredible multi-centre adventure, your first cruise, a safari, a luxury escape or simply a week somewhere beautiful where you can completely switch off.
My job is to listen to what matters to you, ask the right questions and then use my experience, research and huge range of travel partners to bring it all together.
Because the best holiday isn’t necessarily the one everyone else is booking. It’s the one that’s right for you.

Q&A With Jo
Why did you become a personal travel advisor?
Travel has never just been a hobby for me – it’s part of who I am. I’ve always had that pull towards the horizon, wondering where to explore next. Wanderlust genuinely runs through my veins!
I’m the person who spends an evening researching destinations, discovering new tour routes and piecing together itineraries for fun. Over the years I naturally became the go-to person for friends, family and colleagues wanting holiday advice.
Turning that lifelong passion into a career felt like the obvious next step. Now I get to help other people experience the world in a way that’s personal, exciting and completely their own – and honestly? That’s such a privilege.
what kind of holidays do you specialise in?
I absolutely love planning multi-centre escapes and more complex itineraries – combining destinations, mixing a tour with a cruise, or adding a relaxing stay onto the end of an adventure. I genuinely enjoy all the research and logistics involved in piecing everything together so it flows seamlessly.
But there’s definitely no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to travel! Sometimes you want an epic adventure… and sometimes you just want to switch off on a sun lounger with a good book. I’m exactly the same.
So whether it’s a long-haul adventure, cruise, safari, tailor-made tour, beach escape, city break or UK staycation – if you can dream it, I can help you plan it.
What’s your favourite place you’ve ever visited?
That’s a tough one! There are so many favourites, but if I had to choose, it would be Canada with my lovely Dad. We went for the Calgary Stampede, which was incredible, but also travelled through Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper and the Rockies. The scenery, the landscapes, those beautiful mountain towns… just stunning. It genuinely took my breath away.
What’s always in your suitcase?
High-factor sun cream and After Sun! I’m ridiculously pale and have a remarkable talent for getting a little too toasted.
What’s your travel style?
Definitely a mix! I love culture, nature and exploring somewhere properly – give me a scenic train journey, an epic road trip or somewhere completely different to immerse myself in and I’m sold.
But I also appreciate a few slower days by the beach with a good book. For me, the perfect trip is usually a bit of adventure, a bit of discovery… and a little bit of doing absolutely nothing.
What makes booking with you different?
I bring a genuinely personal touch to every booking. I take the time to get to know you, your travel style and what matters most to you, then handle the research, details and those little extras that can make all the difference.
You also get me as your one point of contact – before, during and after your trip. No call centres or wondering who to speak to; I’m there to look after you throughout.
Alongside my experience, I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Travel & Tourism and regularly undertake supplier and destination training. I’m also proud to be part of the Experience It Now Travel team, accredited body members of Hays Travel Ltd (ATOL 5534), so your holiday is carefully planned and fully protected
What’s your dream destination still to tick off?
Oh, there are far too many! Japan is very high on the list, as is exploring more of Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and Hawaii. I’d also love to experience an incredible Route 66 road trip one day.
Basically, the problem has never been finding places I want to go… it’s finding enough annual leave to visit them all! 😂✈️
